New Hair Color | Manic Panic

Okay, so here are the results of injecting some needed FUNK in my life by dyeing my hair…purple. For those of you who watched the video on YouTube…you know I was on a mission for change. The hair colors I used were Manic Panic’s Ultra Violet and Purple Haze. I mixed the two, to ensure I achieved the color I was going for. I didn’t want too much blue or red, so I figured they would make a good mix. Now, I already had residual color on my hair Vampire Red…so it made it difficult to achieve TRUE color. The result of lightening my hair was a fiery bright orange…red is a difficult color to bleach out. I went with it and applied the purple colors to achieve what you see in the photos. A deep magenta-ish color…not what I was going for, but cute none-the-less. The red is still prominent so I think I’ll play around with adding a light blue color to it, and see what comes of that. My hair definitely needs a Joico K-pak treatment (protein) and I’ll be doing that in a few days.  I will be posting a detailed-video with photos and dialogue regarding the process and the aftermath. I just wanted to show you all how the color came out as I promised on YouTube.
